Who We Are

Imperfect people trying to follow a perfect Savior and spread the light of Jesus.

Vision - The Church We See

  • A church rooted in the presence of God.

  • A church that is a refuge of peace, healing and where the searching find purpose.

  • A church alive and active in its community.

  • A multigenerational church where older saints dream and younger saints catch vision.

  • A church of passionate worship, persistent prayer, intentional and resilient discipleship.

  • Laughter heard in the halls as children and families grow a strong biblical foundation

  • Youth gathering to encounter Jesus.

  • A Church where doors and hearts are open to the lost, the lonely and the searching.

  • A church with towels over arms — serving with humility and putting love into action.

  • A church whose best days are not behind us — but ahead of us.

  • Because God. Is. Not. Done. Yet.

Our Values

Integrity - we let our yes be yes and our no be no. We talk to people, not about them and have the hard conversations (Mathew 5:36)

Humility - we embrace meekness (strength under control) modeled by Jesus who being equal to God did not use it to His own advantage (Phil 2:6)

Stewardship - we leave people and places better than we found them using our gifts to glorify God (Col 3:23, Matt 23:14-30)

Sprit lead - we lean not on our own understanding but in all our ways submit to Christ for direction embracing our total dependence on Jesus (Prov 3:5-6, John 15:4)

Community - we value relationships and embrace God’s design for interdependence in the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-27)

Hospitality - we celebrate the inherent worth and dignity of every person made in God’s image by doing what we can to make them feel seen, welcomed and loved (1 Peter 4:8-9, Hebrews 13:2)

Presence over Performance - we embrace our limitations knowing that only Christ was perfect and that it’s not through our might or strength but God’s power that brings transformation (2 Cor 12:9)

Generosity - we embody the abundant love of Jesus by being generous toward others with our love, time, grace and resources (2 Cor 9:6-7)

Meet our Pastor

Pastor Josh Tanzola and his wife, Carey Tanzola have been in ministry together since saying “I do.” They are thrilled to call Westfield their home and serve at Lakeshore Assemblies of God. They have two daughters, Charlotte and Guinevere.

Pastor Josh has been a licensed Assemblies of God pastor for 13 years and has served as a pastor and hospital chaplain. Pastor Josh and Carey felt a call to Westfield in 2025 and moved their family from Rochester, NY. Since they moved they have enjoyed meeting the kindest people on earth in Westfield, enjoying sunsets at Barcelona beach and exploring the natural beauty of Chautauqua county. Pastor Josh is honored to serve as the lead pastor at Lakeshore Assembly of God and excited for what God wants to do in this community.

“We are privileged to be serving the Lakeshore AG community that has been praying, serving and loving their greater community so well. We know God’s heart for the greater Chautauqua area is one of redemption, reach and revitalization and are honored to be a part of what God is doing!”
